Para Nordic Skiing

The Whitehorse Nordic Centre has 3 sit-skis available at any time, free of charge.

​

The skier self-propels using short poles or is pulled by a friend or a volunteer using a harness and rope system.

​

The sit-skis are located in the ski chalet but can be delivered in the Stadium as the access is way easier for someone using a wheelchair. This equipment can also be used for any lower-body injury to enjoy the trails while recovering.​

​

Every year, we are recruiting volunteers to assist the para Nordic skier (Standing, Sitting or visually impaired) and make sure they have an enjoyable experience on the trails. ​​
