Para Nordic Skiing
The Whitehorse Nordic Centre has 3 sit skis available at any time and free of charge.
The skier self propels themselves using short poles or being pulled by a friend or a volunteer using an harness and rope system.
The sit skis are located in the ski chalet but can be delivered in the Stadium as the access is way easier for someone using a wheelchair.
This equipment can also be used for any lower body injury to enjoy the trails while recovering.
Every year, we are recruiting volunteers to assist the para Nordic skier (Standing, Sitting or visually impaired) and make sure they have an enjoyable experience on the trails.
