Arctic Winter Games 2026
The Arctic Winter Games are taking place in Whitehorse from March 8 to 15, 2026 with some events on the Whitehorse Nordic Centre trail network from March 9 to 14, 2026.

What to know for the upcoming week

Only 16hrs of trail closures over the week

The ski chalet and ski shop will remain open, offering rentals, services, ... Please access the Chalet using the outside staircase.​

All trails of our network will be groomed as usual.

The ski lockers located in the waxroom will be accessible
-
The changerooms (lockers included) and waxroom washrooms will not be available (two porta potties will be installed in front of the waxroom for the general public to use).

CGC, Mt McIntyre parking lot and its overflow by the water reservoir will be very busy and parking may be limited.

Trails North of the Chalet will be used for the snowshoe event (see map below).
Our recommendations

Purchase your day or multiday pass online

If rental is needed, rent for multiple days so you can keep the skis with you and start from another entry point than the Chalet.

If you want to ski while races are happening, start from the Dog/Sundog Parking lot and head South toward Harvey's Hut

Keep your dog on leash in the Dog/Sundog parking lot

Obey all signs and follow marshals' directions (marshals will wear high-vis vests and blue arm bands)

Entrance to the spectator zone located in our stadium is only from the CGC parking lot.

If accessing the trail from Takhini neighborhood, stay on the highway side of the World Cup 10k trail all the way to the ski chalet. The other side is used for the snowshoe events.
