Junior Development Program (9-12)
Start to Glide

Registration opens on September 18th, 2025, at 12 pm.

A one-day per week option suited for skiers from 9 to 12 years old who are new to the sport, or unsure about their abilities.

At the end of the program, your child should have all the tools to travel on easy trails (green) with confidence. Uphill, downhill, and flat sections.

This option will be focused on a “lesson” style format - helping skiers develop confidence and new skills on skis.

Groups will be limited to 10 skiers, making sure the learning environment is ideal.

The JDP Start to Glide program meets and starts from the Nordic Centre chalet.

If you would like to arrange a seasonal rental of equipment for use in the Program this season, please visit us at the Whitehorse Nordic Centre (please check our opening hours here), so we can fit your child for their boots, skis and poles for the season.

Age: Your child must have the required minimum age (9yo) to enter the program by January 1st, 2026.
